In this class, participants will learn the basic concept and the writing method of Japanese and Chinese calligraphy. The workshop will start by learning the history and origin of Chinese characters. Followed by the brief meditation exercise, participants will identify the tools known as “the four treasures of calligraphy”. Next, the instructor will explain the way of holding the brush and the body posture. Supplies are provided for this course.

Followed by the brief meditation exercise, participants will practice drawing circles with pencil. Next, the basic structure of Anime/Manga characters will be explained.
