As body piercings evolve it is important to focus on issues adjacent to pushing a needle. Every piercing has its own unique anatomical challenges, and nipple piercings are no exception. This presentation will discuss post-surgical nipple piercing, hormone replacement therapy in relation to nipple piercing, inverted nipples and more. This class will be based on "freehand" piercing methods utilizing bevel theory and internally threaded / threadless jewelry.

This presentation discusses a common factor in our day to day work as piercers: blood. We will discuss how to limit bleeding by understanding anatomy and site selection. When bleeding occurs we need to know how to control and stop it. After we have bleeding we may have contaminated items to consider. We will discuss how to properly remove blood from work surfaces and piercing tools so that proper disinfection or sterilization can be performed.
